The federal and provincial governments have a host of benefit programs designed to help families with their monthly expenses.

For example, the Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB) — which includes the Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit (OEPTC), Northern Ontario Energy Credit (NOEC) and Ontario Sales Tax Credit (OSTC) for eligible individuals — is issued on July 10.
