Peel climate activists are breathing a sigh of relief after Premier Doug Ford announced he won’t be pursuing development on Ontario’s greenbelt lands, but they won’t be resting on their laurels.

“There are always going to be threats to the Greenbelt,” said Gideon Forman, climate change and transportation policy analyst with the David Suzuki Foundation. “We need to remain vigilant.”
